Parc régional du Marécage-des-Scots

A 16 km winding and gravel trail in the forest, perfect for a family hike. Beginning at Walter MacKenzie Park in Scotstown, enjoy many stops, first on the banks of the Rivière-au-Saumon then along the McLeod Creek: interpretation panels, picnic tables, panoramic views and our famous "log hauler." Continue your walk an additional 4.5 km in the Franceville sector in the Mont-Mégantic National Park and enjoy the many services such as the welcoming chalet, camping and the great hiking trail network. On your way back, take time to stroll through the charming village of Scotstown. Visit the famous delicatessen; you won’t be able to resist! Cool off with water games, rent a boat and navigate through a surprising ecosystem. Just 40 minutes from Sherbrooke, no access fees or parking fees, you will spend a beautiful day in a little known region.
