Maison de Lime Ridge - Centre d’interprétation de la chaux
The visit of the Lime Ridge House will immerse you in the history of this little hamlet that has disappeared. Its permanent exhibition retraces the evolution of limestone mining in the region and recalls the highlights of the village, from its birth in the late 1870s to its dismantling. There is also a listening station with a testimony of the daily life of the families of carriers and warmers. The Miner’s Garden, which surround the Lime Ridge House, invite you to take a walk and explore. Sculptures, floral and landscape design, old pieces of mining equipment and rest areas combine to create a site with a unique character. You will also discover a gallery of archival photographs housed in old industrial caissons. Event not to be missed: Le Festival les PierrÀchaux in August.
