Brome County Museum

Take a journey back to the past. The museum is located in the heart of Knowlton (City of Lac Brome) on beautiful grounds. Easily accessible, the museum includes many buildings: the old fire station; a new children's museum which opened in 2014; Martin Annex which houses a War Museum, see an airplane from the First World War, one of the rarest in the world in perfect condition; the former courthouse dating back to 1858; the former Knowlton Academy, and more. There is something for all tastes and interests. Our museum dedicates the largest artifact collection of the first war in which lies outside the War Museum in Ottawa. The house of the founder of Knowlton was added to the site. This wooden house was moved to the museum grounds in October 2014.
