Mante du Carré was created on December 9, 2006. Initially, this public market open year round, was founded in order to feed and keep its population healthy. One thing led to another and this market became a gathering place for residents who can not only get hold of the multitude of food and crafts from local artisans and producers at the Saturday market, but can also enjoy excellent meals prepared from the same local ingredients in the café that was built here. Since spring 2010, people can come and enjoy a coffee (espresso, cappuccino) in a warm setting of an old ancestral home in the heart of Danville.
